Good vinyl

Vinyl records are so effing sweet.

They look sex.
I think it's the squareness of them or the size, but they just beat the shit out of CDs and especially invisible MP3s. My speakers for my decks have been broken for a year now and I still buy vinyl. It's kind of nostalgic, I just like taking them out of me box and looking at the covers. I have a penchant for vinyl charity shopping too. Got me a copy of Madison Avenue - Don't Call Me Baby the other day!

Playing a record too. I mean . . . it's like farming your field, riding you horse n cart to Ye Olde Pub, having a tankard of ale and going home to your good lady wife for a ploughmans and a roger.

Classic.

like with most older things, theyre cooler cus theyre older. take screen printing and letterpress they kick the shit out of todays boring convenience. I have that 66 dylan lp and its true-even if its the 90th time youve opened it, and even if you cant play it cus ur deck is so old its focked, you still feel like its infinitely more special occasion than anything else. Non formats grey board reductionist modern reinvention of the cd/lp case attempts to reproduce that special feeling and it may be awesome but somehow its not quite the same as the sleeve.

LP kills CD

yes mate
them Loaf ones are sick, got them in my Supersonic book i think. Layout n colouring n everything is great.

I think its the size as well, its more like tangible, wholesome. They look so much cooler too, being made from paper and card, not plastic.

I wanna design some LP sleeves.
